"I’m gratified to see Betsy Polk & Maggie Ellis Chotas focus specifically on partnerships between women and explore their unique attributes and strengths."

About The Book

Betsy Polk and Maggie Chotas have learned something powerful: when women work together they discover a level of support, flexibility, confidence, accountability, and freedom to be themselves that they rarely find in other work relationships.

Drawing on their own twelve-year partnership and from interviews with 125 women business partners, Polk and Chotas demolish the myths that keep women from collaborating and offer advice for handling a host of potential challenges.

This groundbreaking book shows that when women team up, combining complementary skills, channeling their egos into the partnership, and encouraging each other, they can work as full equals to achieve something that’s exponentially greater than each woman alone.

Power Thru Partnership

About Betsy & Maggie

Power Through Partnership is based on a collaboration that started in a tenth grade English class when Betsy Polk and Maggie Ellis Chotas joined forces on a class project and had so much fun they decided that someday they would work together for real.

Their chance came years later when they merged Maggie’s background as an educational leader and Betsy’s as a strategy consultant to form The Mulberry Partners, LLC, a coaching and consulting firm that works with community-focused leaders and organizations to boost leadership skills, increase employee engagement and leverage conflict to build productive collaboration.

Since its founding in 2003, Mulberry has designed and facilitated over 500 strategic planning, team building, organization design and leadership development projects.

Betsy is an active leader and board member for educationally-focused organizations in Chapel Hill, NC, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Maggie spends her time away from Mulberry with her husband and two children in Durham, NC, where she is a community leader and board member for organizations making a positive impact.
